A Mother Blessing Ceremony is an intimate and sacred ceremony held to honour and celebrate a woman's rite of passage into Motherhood. Women have been gathering in circles since the beginning of time to connect, bask in mutual respect and love, share experiences and to offer support.
​
These ceremonies are inspired and influenced by the Navajo people who perform this ceremony to celebrate the rites of passage that occur throughout the entire life cycle. This ancient tradition is called a Blessingway, however out of respect for the tribe and their traditions, a non-Navajo ceremony is called a ‘Mother Blessing’.
Unlike a baby shower (which is centred around the baby) this ritual is a beautiful and unique way to bring together the mother and her closest soul sisters in a safe circle to support her, share inspiring stories, release any fears or doubts the mother may have and receive blessings infused with love.
This isn't just for first time mothers, it's for every mother (no matter how many children you have had) as each pregnancy, birth and experience is unique and brings with it new challenges. I truly believe every women deserves to be held and supported during this season of life.
The intention of a Mothers Blessing is to honour, empower and prepare the expectant mother for her upcoming birth mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Together, the sisterhood and I will create a nurturing, grounding and soul-fulfilling space that will allow you to open your heart, receive and prepare yourself whilst connecting and sharing this journey with your soul tribe.
The mother will leave the ceremony feeling empowered, loved, and adorned as her closest support sisters hold space for her, encourage her and inspire confidence and strength within her as she embarks on her journey into motherhood.

Pregnancy and early motherhood was my spiritual awakening, where I experienced a radical and transformational shift in life. It unearthed my soul calling purpose, to serve and support other women. With my skills and knowledge as a coach, I can facilitate a ceremony which will empower, hold space for and create a safe, sacred environment for the mother to feel supported and nurtured in my presence.
My mission and vision is to create a positive ripple effect in the world by being the loving support for other woman, so they can heal and grow to accept themselves as the beautiful being they are. I wish to empower and instil confidence in women when they need it most and to provide that ongoing support throughout their life journey.

Ceremony Outline
What does a Mother Blessing ceremony involve? If you have never been to one and have no idea what they are about, here's what you can expect...
​
Firstly, I create a sacred circle styled beautifully with boho throw rugs and cushions. In the centre will be our alter containing crystals, candles, flowers, salts and any offerings brought along by the guests. It's a beautiful visual display to set the scene for a magical and mystic experience.
​
To begin the ceremony I will clear and cleanse the circle with sage to help remove any fears anyone is holding onto. This is performed so we can enter the space with an open mind, open heart and be prepared to hold space for the mother-to-be.
Following this, the ceremony will commence by opening the circle, blessing the mother and performing an energy clearing and guided meditation to ground and centre ourselves in a web of support and bubble of love.
We will then graciously progress on to performing the ritual of the mothers choice, whilst sharing and offering the mother our love, encouragement and support. The mother will then have her opportunity to share with her sisterhood any fears or doubts she may be concerned about.
Finally, we will bring the ceremony to a close with a reading, sound healing, guided meditation and our final parting words for the mother. The mother-to be will leave this space with her cup full and feeling so full of love, meaningful connection, support and ready to birth with strength and confidence.
There is a choice of two rituals you can choose from to be included in the ceremony which helps to formulate a bespoke and unique experience based on the mothers desires and reflective of her uniqueness. Some include creating a birthing amulet, a salt blessing and creating affirmation cards.
I am committed to creating and designing a menu of sensory delight that will cleanse, nourish and soothe the mothers soul. This journey will also evoke a powerful affect on all the guests present, so all members of the circle leave feeling deeply linked, interconnected and full of loving energy.

+ Required equipment for the ceremony - flowers, crystals, red thread, candles, essential oils, and sage for smudging.
+ Dried flower crown for the mother to wear during the ceremony.
+ Gifts for the mother, infused with the support and blessings of your soul sisters.
+ Small gift for each guest and a candle to light when the mother goes into labour.

+ The mother has a choice of rituals and is tailored to suit the mother's unique personality and comfort, offering a bespoke and personalised feel throughout.
​
+ Please book at least 3
weeks in advance (if possible please.) I will accomodate wherever I can if possible.
​
+ The ceremony is usually arranged by a close friend, mother or sister and most groups will split the fee as their gift to the mother. The idea here is that mothers role is only to receive.
​
+ Women attending the ceremony will receive an email a week prior with everything they need to know.

My Experience of Birth
Childbirth was a monumental moment in my life. To labour with focus, confidence and belief in my ability empowered me and transformed me forever. Walking through the gates of motherhood, like generations before me, I experienced first-hand just how strong women can be. We create life, nurture life, birth life and sustain life- which is a whole new dimension of mind-body awareness. Our bodies have a divine intelligence, wisdom and strength ready to be harnessed.
